MAIN INDICATORS OF PALLIATIVE CARE AND MOBILE TEAM FOR ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS OF TURKESTAN REGION

The study aimed to analyze the state and availability of palliative care in the Turkestan region.
Methods. Search in electronic databases, including PubMed and Web of Science covering the last 8 years, focusing on key aspects of palliative care in oncology. Analytical study of the activities of oncological and palliative services, considering the work of outpatient medical organizations, inpatient services and mobile teams.
Results. The article discusses issues related to the regulatory framework governing the provision of palliative care and the use of narcotic painkillers.
Discussion. Cancer incidence is growing all over the world, including Kazakhstan, thus increasing the number of patients needing palliative care. In the Turkestan region, in the first half of 2023, the number of seriously ill patients needing palliative care amounted to 150. Over six months of 2023, mobile teams paid 1,394 visits to such patients.
Conclusions. Despite considerable attention to palliative care in Kazakhstan, physical access to palliative care remains a problematic issue.
