LATE PUBERTY SYNDROME: OBSERVE OR TREAT? (сlinical cases)

Introduction. Considering the characteristics of puberty, late puberty syndrome requires immediate decisions regarding diagnostic and treatment issues.
Purpose of the study. To analyze clinical manifestations and hormonal status in adolescents with late puberty syndrome to resolve the issue of prescribing therapy.
Material and methods. There are 2 clinical cases from practice are prescribed below. Two adolescents with late puberty syndrome who have been diagnosed with this condition are under dynamic observation. In adolescents, clinical manifestations have similar symptoms, but each manifestation has individual characteristics.
Results. Based on the test results, we prescribed therapy for late puberty syndrome.
The discussion of the results. A timely decision on the tactics to initiate treatment for late puberty syndrome helps to improve the child’s physical performance, while improving the psychological factor and hormonal levels, which have a key role in the sexual development of a teenager.
Conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be noted that in children with late puberty syndrome, clinical manifestations are “varied” in nature, which remain invisible in some cases. It suggests that adolescents and children should be examined by an endocrinologist for preventive purposes.
